NATS
We work with NATS (National Air Traffic Services) to provide an educational and fun experience to NATS trainees looking to enter the Air Traffic Control sector.
NATS find our sessions extremely beneficial as we provide the candidates with a valuable insight into how pilots interpret ATC instructions and how pilots & ATC work together to operate safety and efficiently.
We discuss numerous systems such as: VHF radio, VOR/ADF tuning, transponder operation as well as how ATC instructions are entered by pilots into the MCP and FMC.
Whilst the candidates are flying, we also discuss and practice using the correct and relevant ICAO ATC terminology, which will be essential in their careers.
fly2help
fly2help is an aviation charity based at Gloucestershire Airport. The charity was founded in 2006 and uses the wonder of aviation to help change the lives of many people facing tough personal situations.
It also aims to help young people explore and pursue a career in the extensive aviation industry and achieve their dream job.
We work with fly2help to allow such people to explore a piloting career by getting behind the controls of our 737 simulator, whilst our professional instructors explain everything and answer any questions they may have.
After their time flying we also discuss other careers in the aviation sector which might interest them, providing them with a fun and memorable day which is often filled with some friendly competition!
At SimAir737 we always strive to provide a fun, thrilling yet educational experience to all regardless of age or personal background.
We are passionate about working with local charities which allows us to give something back to the community.
